The skeletal remains of the cod are made from shredded copies of the E.U. Common Fisheries Policy and other related E.U. documents.
The sculpture is being used by the Worldwide Fund for Nature to help raise awareness about over-fishing in European waters. In the 30 years that the common fisheries policy has been in place stocks of cod have fallen by 80%.
The images shown here were taken in May 2007 at a major E.U. conference in Bremen, Germany, where policy to determine the future of Europe's seas was being discussed.
